The James sets a cream upholstered shell, with a gentle dip in the seat and a back that narrows as it rises, on a dark-toned wood base. Side stretchers keep the frame quiet and steady. It reads mid-century without leaning on nostalgia, at home in a hotel dining room or around a long table at home.
